Practical tips
... or what you should know before getting ready to visit us
Backpacks, bags, food and drink
In order to protect the exhibition it is completely forbidden to bring in any type of food or drink. If a visitor has some type of bag which might contain food or drink, the visitor will be asked by security to leave the bag in a locker at the entrance to the exhibition.
Handicaped access
Wheelchairs - The Railway Kingdom exhibition can be visited even by people confined to wheelchairs. At the cashier is an elevator for handicapped visitors which our staff will help you to use to reach the first or second underground levels. The Railroads in the first phase are raised due to technological requirements and the viewing area is raised by two stairs, as seen in the picture. There are ramps available to make it possible to access these areas. There are no barriers to movement in the second underground level. There are also special toilets available for handicapped visitors. A personal assistant to the handicapped visitor is allowed to enter the exhibition free of charge.
Prams or baby carriages
For mothers with prams there is a locked storage space available where prams can be securely left. Movement in the second underground level of the exhibition with a pram is not possible. While prams can be moved around the first underground level's walking areas, it is not possible see the railroads from that level, so we recommend carrying young children through the exhibition.
